Gibson Custom Shop is releasing a Jack White signature model Diddley Bow. Their best luthiers have taken this version apart and meticulously copied each part in perfect detail, right down to the wood grain, level of dirt on the wood, the brand of electrical tape, type of wire, coke bottle, nail rust, etc. They acquired the actual hammer Jack used in this video to craft each instrument. They analyzed this video using the latest software to exactly reproduce the force and velocity and number of hammer blows. They sought out the actual cows and their manure and brought them into the custom shop to have them watch each instrument being skillfullycrafted. Each of the 50 limited edition models will be signed by Jack. MSRP $185,000 - which includes a potato sack gig bag, a DVD documentary on the planning and production of the Bows, and 8 * 10 framed photo of each cow.
